Free Hot Chocolate & Cookies @ Grad Hockey Game?

Enjoy the game! Those were the words on every cup of hot chocolate we gave out at the DSS Grad Hockey Game yesterday at the LLC. We truly hope you did enjoy the evening as the students put out a good effort but were unable to match the many, many years of collective hockey experience by the staff and parents. Why would anyone give out free hot chocolate & cookies? The obvious answer to this question would be, ‘who doesn’t like hot chocolate and cookies while watching hockey?’. As a youth group, we were hoping the people watching the game would feel the same way. And as a group of young Christians, we wanted to be an expression of God’s love to you. That’s why we handed out these things for free. A few people felt like there had to be a catch. Nope. There wasn’t. But that’s sort of how we feel about God and the undeserving love He shows us. Welcome to Fire Youth

The goal of Fire Youth is to take students to new levels and increase their passion for God. It’s a place that speaks the same language and meets students where they are at in life. A youth group that thinks outside the box. A place to challenge and encourage students to be who God created them to be.

We meet every Wednesday at 7:01 pm. At 5545 Ladner Trunk Road. We have a newly renovated Youth Lounge featuring original art by young up and coming graffiti artist Andrew Kerr. Come on out and see what Fire Youth is all about – we always love to meet new people.

Spoiler alert:  our favourite activities include; arcade basketball, foosball, Extreme Worship, Napoleon Dynamite, Ice Cream Sundaes, God, His Word, Couches, Camping and just Hanging Out.

See what we’ve been up to! Check us out on Facebook (Fire Youth Ministries) or Twitter (#FireYouth)
